ANAM (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the online store at anamshop.com, including all related content, features, tools, products and services (the “Services”). Our store is powered by Shopify. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you visit our store, make a purchase, subscribe to our emails or contact us, and how you can exercise your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Personal information we collect

Payment information: payment method, transaction amount and payment confirmation. Card payments are processed securely by Shopify and our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.

From our service providers, such as Shopify, payment providers and couriers, when they process information on our behalf.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it where necessary, with:

Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders and payments.
Service providers who help us run the business, such as payment providers, couriers (including The Courier Guy), email and analytics providers. They may only use your information to provide their services to us.
Authorities or other parties where required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or restructured.

Our relationship with Shopify

Information stored outside South Africa

Shopify and some of our service providers store and process information on servers outside South Africa. Where this happens, we rely on providers that are bound by laws, contracts or policies giving your information a level of protection comparable to POPIA.

We use cookies and similar technologies to make our store work, remember your cart and preferences, and understand how visitors use our store. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the store may not work properly without them.

How we protect and keep your information

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information to us by unsecured channels such as regular email.
